[ARCHIVED] Utility Billing Scam Alert Notice

SCAM ALERT NOTICE

SCAM ALERT: It has come to our attention that some residents may have received a phone call asking for utility bill payment over the phone. These residents have said they were told their utilities would be disconnected if they did not pay within 20 minutes.

The City of Chickasha does not call residents to ask for payment or alert about utilities being disconnected. Instead, residents who have not paid their utility bill and who are at risk of service interruption receive a notice of nonpayment in the mail that includes a pay-by date.

We will not call residents from an 800 number. All City of Chickasha phone numbers have a 405 area code.

The City of Chickasha does not accept utility bill payment over the phone. You can pay three ways: online at chickasha.org, in person at City Hall, or using the PaySite kiosk inside Homeland.

If you have questions about your City of Chickasha utility bill or disconnect notice, please call (405) 222-6015.
