The City will be hosting a “meet and greet” on Thursday, March 2nd, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm where the public is encouraged to engage and visit with the City Manager candidates. The informal meeting with the 4 candidates will be held at City Hall in the Council Chambers. In addition to the public meeting the candidates, the candidates will also take a tour around the City as well as the various City Departments during their two day visit. The process will conclude with interviews with each of the candidates allowing both the City and the candidates to ask pertinent questions to determine the right fit for both the City and the prospective new City Manager.
“It is the goal of the search committee to recommend a candidate after this process and this individual will be presented to the Council for consideration for hire at the March 6th Council Meeting,” said Mayor Hank Ross. “The in-depth search for a City Manager has brought us 4 great candidates and I am hopeful we will be able to move our City forward with one of these individuals at the helm soon.”
Due to the informal nature of this meeting, there is no need to RSVP to attend. Any questions can be directed to the City Manager’s office at 405-222-6045.
