Public Information Officer

The Police Department has a representative that handles all television, newspaper and radio interview requests. Employees are not authorized to make comments on police department matters without the permission of the Chief of Police or Department Public Information Officer.

Records Clerk

The person responsible for storage and management of police department reports to include accident, incident and arrest reports. The clerk meets with the public in the lobby of the police department. The clerk accepts requests for reports and determines how to comply with the requests if possible. The clerk works directly under the supervision of the Assistant Chief of Police. The clerk sends out daily press releases to the media concerning the reports taken by police officers.     • 0.25 per page and enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope with your request- We must receive payment first prior to mailing.

    • $4.00 fee to fax- We must receive payment first prior to faxing. Be sure to provide a return fax number and phone number with your request.

    • $5.00 fee to get a copy of video or audio put on a CD/DVD.
