Chickasha lake Maintenance Seasonal $7.50 - $9.00 hour


Under immediate supervision of the Complex Maintenance Supervisor, performs a variety of grounds keeping, tree and park maintenance duties: operates hand and power equipment; performs unskilled work of routine difficulty in maintenance and repair; performs related work as required.



 Operates park & lake vehicles and mowing equipment;

2.    Empties trash containers; moves picnic tables, etc.,

3.    Moves and uses park & lake maintenance materials – cement, pipe, railroad ties, fertilizers, grass seed, etc.,

4.    Paints park benches, picnic tables, trash containers, interior and exterior of buildings,

5.    Trims and removes trees;

6.    Daily cleaning of shelter and restroom and park facilities;

7.    Plants grass seed, lays sod and spreads fertilizers.

8.    Assists with miscellaneous repairs and other projects as needed.

 Police Officer:


This is responsible general duty police work in protecting the life, persons, and property of the citizens of the City of Chickasha through equitable enforcement of laws and ordinances.


An employee in this class functions as the initial responding officer on police calls, conducts investigations, and maintains routine patrol activities to preserve the peace, enforce laws, prevent and deter crime, protect life and property, arrest suspected violators of the law, and render service to the public.


An employee in this class may be assigned special duties such as criminal investigation, drug and alcohol law enforcement and/or education responsibilities, K-9 patrol, and Lake Chickasha patrol tasks.  Duties are performed under general supervision in accordance with well-established police practices, standards, and departmental policy and regulations.  This work may frequently involve hazardous or strenuous tasks, but always involves the exercise of initiative and independent judgment in emergency situations. Salary Uncertified: $33,864.45/ Certified: $34,880.87

Accounts Payable Clerk:  


This is clerical work ensuring goods and services needed by the City are purchased according to the City’s purchasing system and applicable State and Federal law at the lowest and best price.


This work involves responsibility for performing a variety of tasks related to the operation and maintenance of the financial system.  An employee in this class is engaged in responsible but routine accounting and finance operations such as handling cash transactions, preparing checks from accounts payable records, and verifying invoices and purchase orders.  The work also involves responsibility for receiving and greeting a variety of visitors to the City offices and assuring that they are properly directed to the department/office that can best address their problems or concerns. An employee in this class performs various routine typing, data entry, filing, and counter service. 


This work requires a good command of bookkeeping skills and involves a high degree of accuracy and concentration on detail.  The work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed through records, audits, and observation of results obtained. Employees in this class may be given detailed instructions by the Finance Director/City Clerk at the beginning of work, at completion and subsequent new assignments. Starting Salary: $10.90 - $15.25


OCCUPATIONAL TITLE:  Police Records Clerk




This is responsible and for specialized clerical work in the classifying, indexing, filing, and retrieving of Police records and the ongoing maintenance of the City’s computerized police records data system.

An employee in this class is responsible for classifying, indexing, processing, and retrieving official records of the Police Department.  This incumbent ensures proper production and maintenance of all arrest records, violators’ files, and motor vehicle accident reports.  The work also involves researching the files and retrieving information to be used in preparing statistical reports on various subjects for City officials, as well as furnishing police officers and the public with copies of reports and other documents as authorized by an immediate supervisor.  The work is performed under general supervision, and is reviewed and inspected through written reports, records, and results obtained.


Pay Range $10.15-$12.20 per hour


This is a full time position working forty (40) hours per week normally M-F 8-5 with a one hour lunch. However, hours may be adjusted based upon the needs of the department. The City offers a competitive benefits package which includes medical insurance, vacation, holidays, and retirement.
