What services does the Library offer?



  • Books and Materials 
    • Available for check-out and on-site use
    • Books available in Large Print, Fiction, Mystery, Romance, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Biography, Non-Fiction, Reference, Teen and Children's
    • Materials include magazines, reference, genealogy, videocassettes and DVDs
    • Genealogy materials are not available for check-out and must be used on-site.
    • Videocassettes and DVDs may be checked out for a period of five (5) days.
  • Audiobooks 
    • Various formats include cassette, CD and Playaway Self Playing
    • Playaway materials require a set of headphones or earbuds (not included) and a Triple A battery (included).
  • Interlibrary Loan
  This Library participates in an Interlibrary loan network (ILL). Books may be borrowed from other libraries to fulfill customer requests.

  • Computers for Use
    • Internet accessible, word processing and SoonerCare computers are available upon request
    • Non-library cardholders may utilize a guest pass to access the Internet computers, which is available at the Customer Service desk.
    • Teen computers available for those ages 13-17.
  • Children's Computers 
    • Computers available with games or the Internet.
    • Children's gaming computers are installed with Peanut Butter PC software and do not have Internet access.
    • Internet computers for children have recommended filters for content and accessibility.
  • Wi-Fi Accessible
    • Free and available to the public
    • No password required
  • Laptop Space 
    • Designated laptop areas with accessible plugs
    • Countertop-height table with built in electricity for laptops
  • Meeting Rooms (click for more information and the meeting room calendar)
    • Large community room and smaller meeting room available for reservation
    • The Large community room has a maximum capacity of 100.
    • The small meeting room has a maximum capacity of 10.

  • Copy Machine  
    • $0.15 per page for black & white copies and prints, $1.00 per page for color copies and prints
    • All computers print to the copy machine and cost the same as a copy.
  • FAX Machine
    • $1.00 per page to send a fax
    • $1.00 per page to receive a fax
    • The Chickasha Public Library's fax number is (405) 222-6072.
  • Magnifier 
    • Magnification machine available for public use.
    • Magnifier will enlarge any text on any type of document and show it on the attached television screen.
  • Microfilm  
    • Oklahoma Census records available from 1900-1930
    • Chickasha Daily Express issues available from 1892 to present
    • Some past Issues of regional newspapers also available for viewing on the microfilm machine
    • Printing capabilities are also available at standard printing prices.  See Library Staff for help.
  • Staff  
    • Trained in customer service techniques
    • Notary Public available free of charge (call 405-222-6075 to verify available times)
    • Staff will assist customers in using all aspects of the Library.
